Test 2. Are you willing to invest yourself out of slavery?
Yeah, slavery, because if you only can survive the day by day struggle by working harder you are a slave of your company.
Stop thinking on what will it cost me. I sell advertisements opportunities to entrepreneurs. The moment I talk about the exposure they will get with the promotions, I can see them start thinking, “aww money!” Indeed 9 out of 10 times their first response is ”How much will this cost me?”
But the thing is, you are not in the hair business to spend money. You are in the hair business to grab opportunities and to grow benefiting from the tasks you can outperform others with! You are the best in predicting next year’s hair styles, sell it! You know exactly what your clients need and like, sell it! You can write like the best about hair and beauty, sell it.
Or are you the kind of person that sees a great opportunity, but refuses to invest in this because it costs money? In this case, better to say yes boss, instead of welcome new client!
But I do not have the money to invest! It will amaze you how much cash generating potential you have in your business. All you need is to set out a strategy and plan your way to success.

The regulation sees to certain regions, cities and not to the whole country. The level of pollution in a region determines if a factory must close their doors. This, not the quality of the hair extensions of an individual factory,
Environmental protection and the price of hair
The environmental protection will cause an increase of the price of the hair extensions. There will be less hair on the market. And there is no improvement of the quality of the hair. The good thing is China takes the environment serious, but for hair resellers it’s an extra challenge.
The environmental protection is for a limited period. Once the level of pollution is back at the norm, production will resume. But, it is unclear how long this will take. Some owners keep continue the production and thus delay the impact for the whole region.
What can you do?
1. Try to order more hair, if you have enough stock and the hair price will rise you will benefit for the increase.
2 Look for a second supplier. It’s good to have a good relationship with one supplier, but if this supplier for any reason can’t supply the hair. You are in trouble. Better to find a backup supplier.
3. Educate and inform you clients. Clients do not like surprises. You increase the price of the hair, and your clients, even if they love the hair, will not be happy. Educate them, tell them about what’s happening in the world of hair. Use your newsletter to keep them updated and give them news they can share with others.
4. Start cross selling, you are in the business of giving people a confidence boost. Stop selling hair extensions, but sell this look good feeling.

Next to your character, you must take some action to position yourself as store owner.

If you are your own boss you have to sell everything, every day. There is no hierarchy between you and the customers, the market or your suppliers. Instead of giving an order, you now have to find ways to convince others to not only be interested in your ideas, suggestions, products, visions. But also to make them pay for it. Thus be able to show you believe in what you offer.
Three Be a top communicator
At school they teach you to do math, to read or about the history of your country or people. But did they teach you how to communicate? Did you had lessons in listening well to other people? One of the necessary skills to be a successful entrepreneur is to communicate like no other person. The biggest difference between us, a s human beings and animals is our ability to communicate. But we are so bad in it. If we talk to another person, how many times you notice you are preparing your own answer, instead of listening to the fear, excitement or needs of the other person? It’s so difficult to tell what the other exactly told you, just because you were not listening.
You need to listen to your clients, to be able to support them with their needs and not what you want to sell.
Four Master your time?
Life is full of making decisions, and being your own boss is not different. Of course you need to think through any action you plan to execute. But if it takes you ages before you come to a decision, only because you prefer to have 100% certainty, it will not work.
Not only will you never find 100% certainty, there is always the risk it will not work out the way you planned. You will also lose too much time in planning and thinking about all the alternatives. Time, more than money is scarce if you run your own business. Treat it like gold and do not waste it.
Next to being able to take decisions you also need to be able to plan your days and weeks. Good time management will make you successful in everything you do.
Five Be the boss
You are in charge, and you are the one who will make the final decision. Are you going to expand, are you going to buy this hair or hair from another supplier. If you do not have the courage to be the boss, it will never work. As mentioned before, you need to make decisions, even if there is no certainty. Do you have this courage?
Six, Learn from your mistakes and success

Last week the US President revoked the Obama 2014 Fair Pay and Safe Workplaces order. This order was put in place to ensure companies given federal contracts complied with a raft of labour and civil rights laws.
The Obama rules helped protect female employees on wage transparency and a ban on forced arbitration clauses for sexual harassment
The first requirement (wages) forced companies with federal contracts to provide each employee with a “wage statement”. One of the few ways to help ensure women were being paid as much as their male colleagues.
Women earn 83 cents for every dollar earned by men
Did you know, women in America currently earn 83 cents for every dollar earned by men doing the same job (The Economic Policy Institute).
The other rule stopped companies with government contracts from using the forced arbitration clause to keep sex discrimination claims out of the courts and off the public record. This helps to hide sexual harassment claims.
The forced arbitration clause became the subject of public debate last year when Fox News presenter Gretchen Carlson dodged an arbitration clause in her own contract by directly suing the company’s former chief Roger Ailes over claims of sexual harassment.
Civil rights LGBT community
Campaigners also say the order discriminates against LGBT people. Several of the civil rights laws that companies will no longer have to prove they abide by prohibited discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
“This administration has made it extremely difficult to enforce these federal laws,” Camilla Taylor, a lawyer at a law firm that fights for the rights of LGBT people, told Keen News.

Just before I go to church, I felt I had to write about my never-ending source of inspiration. It’s amazing how the Lord finds the time and words to inspire me, every single day of the week. To thank Him for this I love to visit the church every Sunday and to say a big Thank you.
Before in my daily life I used to run, push and hurry to get things done, and I always thought I am the one making these things happen. Only when I felt the tough gets going I could find the time to pray and to look for support from the Lord.

The temperature is below zero and a strong wind makes it even colder. It’s getting dark already and most people leave the parking spot of the local library to go home for dinner. Only a few see a girl, leaning against the wall of the Library, but they are all in a hurry. Hunger is on their mind.
Cynthia is standing outside the library, leaning as close as possible to the wall. By doing so she benefits most from the waves of the Wi-Fi broadcasted by the library. She is searching for hair suppliers. Her ambition is to start selling her own hair brand. She wants to sell hair. She works two jobs, but still not enough to pay all the bills every month. To fulfil her dream, she uses free Wi-Fi whenever she can.
Wholesale Supplier did not speak English
Recently she found a hair supplier in Vietnam. Their website had beautiful images of hair. Plus, many reviews. But the saleswomen from the Vietnamese hair supplier did not speak English very well. On top of that, she was only asking:
“Which texture you are looking for”,
“please tell me the hair you are looking for, so I can give you the price” and “how long for the hair you want.
That sales women clearly wanted to sell hair.
A click with the hair supplier
Okay, Cynthia was looking for hair, but it was not easy to buy from a stranger who was thousands of miles away. It’s not a loaf of bread she was buying, she had calculated she would invest the complete tax refund in this shipment. It was now or never, but she also knew she could only spend the money once.
